Mission San Luis Shares the Love

Tallahassee, FL –

Celebrating Friends and Followers

On Sunday, February 9, from Noon to 4 p.m. Mission San Luis invites the public and press to their second annual Share the Love event.  Help Mission San Luis celebrate and share the love that its social media followers, members, volunteers and the community have shown. Come out for musical entertainment by The New 76ers (noon to 2 p.m.), Cupid's Archery School, free hot chocolate, a bake sale, scavenger hunts, site Love Tours,  a photo booth and more.  Make valentines for area seniors and bring your leashed pet for a day of fun!

"The Share the Love event at Mission San Luis is the perfect way to celebrate Valentine’s Day with your family," said Secretary of State Ken Detzner. "Whether you’d like to practice or learn archery, have a fun family portrait taken, enjoy the 'acoustic happiness' of a popular folk trio, or make a valentine for a senior in need of some love, we encourage you to visit our wonderful living history site here in Tallahassee."

Mission San Luis, Florida’s Apalachee-Spanish Living History Museum, was the western capital of Spanish Florida from 1656 to 1704. The site is managed by the Florida Department of State, Division of Historical Resources, Bureau of Archaeological Research, and support is provided by the Friends of Mission San Luis, Inc. Mission San Luis is Tallahassee’s only National Historic Landmark.
