Spanish and Apalachee Military Life in La Florida

Mission San Luis invites the press and public to witness colorful pageantry and black powder musket and cannon fire at the Castillo de San Luis. Discover the 17th century world of Spanish soldiers and Apalachee warriors at this annual special event.

 

DATE: Saturday, March 8, 2014

TIME: 10 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

COST: $5 for adults, $3 for seniors 65+, and $2 for ages 6-17. Children under 6, members, and active military get in FREE.

EVENT DETAILS:
This living history program brings Florida’s heritage to life as visitors focus on the lives and tasks of soldiers at Spanish Florida’s western capital. There will be archery for all ages, ´make-and-take´ craft activities for children, drama by Theater with a Mission, demonstrations of blacksmithing, period cooking, and more.
